Boost Traffic With Product SEO

For the uninitiated, SEO stands for "Search Engine Optimization". Search engines, like Google, crawl the internet and index information on just about every page on the internet. Well, just about every page!

They index information like the page's title, section headings, content on the page, images, and more. So when you type "Toddler Activities" into Google, they look through all those indexed pages in order to give you the most relevant results. SEO is the practice of getting your pages to rank higher in search results, by optimizing your pages for keywords you are targeting. So if you wanted to have a page show up when someone searches "Toddler Activities", you might give it a title like, "5 Toddler Activities To Stay Engaged During Quarantine". #2020Living Getting your page to the top of Google Search for a keyword isn't an exact science. But with the new SamCart Product SEO Settings, you can easily have your own sales pages start showing up when people for you, your brand, and your products.

Setup Easily With SamCart

Everything starts by logging into your SamCart account, and opening any of your SamCart products. Toggle over to the brand new SEO tab, and you can start optimizing your sales page for SEO.

SamCart Product SEO Settings Tab

The first toggle allows you to decide wether search engines can crawl and index your page. If for any reason, you don't want this page to ever show up in search results, simply toggle to "Off". Then enter in a Page Title, Description, and a Feature Image. The title and description is a great place to include a keyword that you want your page to rank for in search engines. Choose your keywords carefully. It could be very difficult for your sales page to rank for highly competitive keywords, like "Toddler Activities". But it will likely be much easier for your sales page to rank for keywords related to your name, your brand, and especially the name of your product. Using our screenshot as an example, we likely wouldn't have a prayer of ranking this page for a keyword like "Ecommerce". But if we use "SamCart Free Trial", this page could easily make its way to the top of search results. For more information on

Sharing On Social Media

These settings also apply to sharing your sales page on social media. Your page's title, description, and (most importantly) your feature image will all be used when you share your sales page on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Recommended image size vary from one platform to another, but we recommend your feature image be 1280x720.
